Advantages of Fitness Ball

While most people wish they could lose all that excess baggage they cart around their frame, there are few that do get inspired on their own – or perhaps by seeing the success of others sticking to a strict exercise regime to take up the challenge of losing weight and getting into shape.

Bend yourself down to the floor through your elbows, then bring yourself back up when your elbows reach a ninety-degree angle. If you have lower back pains, you may want to use your shins or knees to support you on the ball.

While there are many different approaches to fat burning, not all of them are equal. Some machines develop muscle strength while others give you a good cardio workout. The key to fat burning is to make the heart pump harder and burn as many calories as you can. This means that you must use every possible muscle in the body in order to get the job done.

The major benefit of a fitness ball exercise is enabling the body to respond to the ball’s instability while keeping the balance and engaging more muscles as well.

Another similar exercise that is a great deal of fun but also difficult to do is a total crunch with the stability ball. Lay straight out with the ball between your hands above your head and your legs in a V. Lift the ball at the same time you lift your feet and head, and pass the ball to your feet. Then lower your head, arms and body.

Fitness balls urge you to be constantly on the go. The fact that you don’t necessarily have to go to the gym to do fitness ball exercises, you are kept consistent with your goal to stay fit because you can also do your fitness ball routines at home.

Lower lateral stretch.  Hold the ball in front of you with your feet hip-width apart.  Move the ball towards your lower side across the hip.  Move back the ball towards your center to return to starting position and then perform the routine on the other side..Seated Wall Roll. This targets the buttocks, hamstrings and quadriceps. To do it, you can stand up and lean your back on the wall. Your feet must be apart in line with your hips.

Abdominal Roll. This specifically targets the abdominal muscles. Lie flat on the floor and bend your knees. Make sure your feet are also flat on the floor. Place the fitness ball on your thighs, adjacent to your knees.

After you have selected a ball according to the method described, make a further test to complete your diagnosis. Place your thumb and fingers into the proper holes, pick up the ball, and then insert a pencil into the space between your hand and the ball.

In fitting the “best ball” for a given player, physical characteristics of a players swing are key determinants. Again, ball speed, launch angle and spin rate will drive the initial performance potential of the golfer – and the potential groups of “best fit” balls.

Why Balls Are Good for You .. That’s Balance Balls Silly!

I have worked in Manhattan for a while, and recently, I started to notice this strange phenomenon where some  executives started sitting on a gym ball, instead of using their regular chairs. So after almost dying of hysterical laughter for a few minutes, I googled it, and saw the light. It turns out it’s good for you.

Whether you spend your desk time at the office,  or studying at home for that next exam, office ball chairs can help you in many ways. Here are some of the benefits of using an exercise ball as your chair.

1. Forces proper spine alignment. Because an exercise ball is not stable, your body needs to try to balance itself on  it. When you have proper spinal posture, it allows you to balance yourself. It’s almost automatic that your body will align itself to get into proper posture. This helps improve your spinal health, and decrease back pains.

2. Causes you to frequently change positions. An exercise ball causes to you to change your position often to balance.  Doing simple things such as turning to face the phone, will result in your body assuming anew position. The more you shift, the less damage your body incurs due to prolonged sitting in same pose.

3. fitness is at your fingertips. One of the best advantage of already sitting on a gym ball is that you can always do quick stretches or workouts without even getting up. Anytime you get bored, just do a quickie exercise. Since its convenient, you will find yourself doing it more frequently, which will work wonders for your health.

4. Improves your balance. This is expected. Sitting on an unstable surface all day will improve your  sense of balance, as well as the reactions of your muscles. You can feel results right away in terms of having a much better overall sense of balance as you move around.

5. You get that 6-pack abs. As you balance yourself while you are sitting on the ball, your abdominal muscles are the ones working the hardest to maintain your balance. Thus, you are essentially getting a low-key abdominal workout. This might not sound like a big deal but when you count the hours you spend sitting at your desk or in front of the compute, the numbers start to count. Those hours can build up, and result  in a strengthening of ab muscles.

6. It’s improves for your circulation. Sitting on an exercise ball promotes good blood flow throughout your body for the whole day. A desk chair on the other hand, reduces circulation to some parts of the body after prolonged use.

7. Gives you that energy boost. It has been proven that staying in one position, will make you more tired, while moving  around and being active with give you more energy. Using an exercise ball as a chair is a good way to ensure that you will be energized by the end of your
working day.

8. Burns up hundreds of calories per day. The more you move, the more calories you burn. Burning 350 calories per day allows you to lose

one pound of fat every two weeks. You may not burn quite 350, but nonetheless, it will help you stay fit.

9. It’s really affordable. These exercise balls, or balance ball chairs will cost you from for the ball to for the ball and the chair that holds it. Much cheaper than  buying an ergonomic chair, which can range anywhere from 0 to 0 and up.

10. The most important benefit of all, it is fun! Everyone is a kid at heart when you think about it, so look at it as feeding your inner child as you bounce around all day. Exercise balls are an  exciting alternative to chairs, and may just give that spark of fun to your day.

Ashley works in technology at an investment banking firm. She enjoys the technology but has started looking into internet marketing on the side, setting up a varied collection of sites such as providing info on finding a good balance ball chair and tips on how to look for an ergonomic desk chair

The Run Down On Balance Ball

First thing first, Balance Ball is also known in a variety of different names. However, the most common name for Balance Ball is called, the Stability Ball. Balance Ball is also known as Swiss Ball, Exercise Ball, fitness Ball and Physio Balls.

The Balance Ball has had long-standing success in the world of clinical rehabilitation. However, due to their effectiveness in developing balance and core strength, athletic trainers, coaches, personal trainers and physical education teachers have begun to integrate them into their programs. Now they are the new craze in the world of athletic and functional conditioning.

The history of the Balance Ball originates back to the early 1960s. It was made by an Italian toy maker, Aquilino Cosani, and sold primarily in Europe as the Gymnastik.

The balance ball is a conservative treatment option for back pain sufferers and is designed to help prevent further episodes of low back pain as part of a rehabilitation program. The exercise ball is effective in rehabilitation of the back because it helps strengthen and develop the core body muscles that help to stabilize the spine.

Once limited to the rehabilitation and clinical setting, the Balance Ball has permeated to all sectors of the health and fitness community. In clinics they are still used to provide gentle proprioceptive stimuli for individuals recovering from surgery. The balance ball is fun, it’s colorful and everybody from pediatric patients to geriatric patients literally find the Balance Ball to be something unique and that they can generate some enthusiasm about. The unique thing about the Balance Ball is that they utilize the neuromuscular system in a way that no other exercise equipment I have come across has. That is that they incorporate the use of:

1. Multiple muscle systems

2. Neurologically induced muscular responses

3. A normal and natural process of balance

4. The body’s own normal processes, to establish and restore balance.

The Balance Ball has had long-standing success in the world of clinical rehabilitation. Find out How the Balance Ball can Improve your fitness at http://www.smartreviewguide.com/balanceball

5 Fitness Ball Exercises That Work!

While there are many different approaches to fat burning, not all of them are equal. Some machines develop muscle strength while others give you a good cardio workout. The key to fat burning is to make the heart pump harder and burn as many calories as you can. This means that you must use every possible muscle in the body in order to get the job done. You can join aerobics, do jumping jacks, or any number of things but theres a new way that is not only good as a fat burner its also a whole lot of fun! Keeping the exercise fun, keeps you exercising. Try using the fitness ball, also known as the stability ball. There is a good reason for the second name. It will test your stability both physically and mentally if you let it. You can also target specific areas, just like aerobics, as you get the cardio workout.

Abdominal Roll

Of course the name gives away the target area, its the abs. This exercise gets you closer to a six-pack thats attractive on both men and women. Its a form of the crunch. Lie on your back and put the ball between your thighs, keep it in place with the knees. Touch the top of the ball with the fingertips and then roll your shoulders off the floor. Hold the position and slowly roll back down, one vertebra at a time.

Lift the ball up with the feet at the same time you raise your head and arms and pass it back to the hands. Its a tough work out!

Seated Wall Roll

This one targets the glutes, the hamstrings and the quadriceps. You need a wall for this one and a clear area. Place the ball between your back and the wall as you lean against the wall. Keep your feet shoulder width apart and lined up with the hips. Begin a squat as you roll the ball down the wall. Once you hit the chair position raise slowly and roll the ball back up the wall.

Opposite Limb Extension

This ones another good one for buns of steel. It targets not just the glutes but also the lower back, the hamstrings and tests your balance. Lay on your stomach on the fitness ball and with your arms and legs extended and toes and fingertips touching the floor. Keep your body straight and your head in line with your body, face the floor. Begin by lifting your right arm and alternate leg, the left one, at the same time. Hold for a count of three on four put them back down and do the left arm, right leg combination in the same manner. Begin with 4 repetitions minimum, but if you can do more, do 8. Work your way up until you double that number.

Balanced Push Up (Hands on the Ball)

Heres where you notice how hard the fitness ball is, but its also what makes it so much fun! You focus on staying on the ball and forget about how tough the exercise is on your muscles. When you stabilize yourself on the ball, you use the abdominal muscles and the back muscles, whether you realize it or not. This is another six-pack exercise, which also works the shoulders and triceps.

Crunches on the Swiss ball offer several advantages over more conventional methods and machines. Using the ball facilitates full flexion and extension of your spine thereby training your abdominals through a full range of motion. Crunches on the ball also promote balance and stability stimulating your deeper core muscles in addition to the prominent rectus abdominus or ‘six-pack’ muscle. When done correctly the Swiss Ball crunch is super effective.

Fitness Ball – 3 Exercises to Make you Stronger

Most fitness ball exercises are designed to reach your hard-to-target muscles, such as those on the lower back or your upper and lower abdominals, which ordinary aerobic exercise might fail to address.

If you combine fitness ball exercises with the proper diet and sleep routines, then you can lose weight easily without having to pay exorbitant gym joining fees. If you perform fitness ball exercises frequently, you can also increase your resistance and endurance, and even improve your balance.

Here are a few fitness ball exercises that you might want to engage in to start your routine.

1. Use the fitness ball to do push ups.

Place your toes or ankles on the ball, lay your hands upon the floor, and spread them so that they are at a greater distance than your shoulders are from each other.

Bend yourself down to the floor through your elbows, then bring yourself back up when your elbows reach a ninety-degree angle. If you have lower back pains, you may want to use your shins or knees to support you on the ball.

2. Use the fitness ball to do lunges.

Place the ball against a wall, then place one foot on it. Straighten this leg, and bend your other leg slightly. Push your body forward in a slow lunge toward the ball, but keep your back straight, and contract your abdominal muscles.

As you find your body bending forward, hold the position and count to ten. Bring yourself back to your original standing position, then shift to the other leg. Do this twelve to fifteen times, and breathe steadily.

3. Do fitness ball exercises with dumbbells.

Use an appropriate dumbbell weight and do not overstrain your arms with excessive weights. Hold one dumbbell in each hand, then lie down with your back on the ball. Keep your head straight and your feet on the floor, but with your knees bent. Raise the dumbbells up, then bring them down back to your chest.

Bring the dumbbells to the sides, then put them back upon your chest. Repeat this exercise twelve to fifteen times. You can also lie down on the ball, this time with your navel on the fitness ball’s apex. Stretch your arms by swinging the dumbbells outward and away from your body.

Conclusion

These are only a few fitness ball exercises that you can engage in. You can consult with your trainer or orthopedist on more exercises that you can add to your routine.

Just be sure to breathe steadily and avoid straining your back, and you can have your desired body and weight in no time.
